How can Cashsense help my family manage our finances?
  • From a single deposit of funds to Cashsense, make multiple transfers to beneficiaries' ATM cards as cash is needed in
    the Philippines.
  • Pay utilities, bills and SSS etc. for free, online.
  • Purchase essential goods and services - medicines, formula and text books etc. - online.

Single pay-in, multiple pay-outs to single or multiple beneficiaries

Beneficiaries in the Philippines can often run out of cash towards the end of the month. Cashsense customers may make full
use of their online accounts or eWallet by making a single, inexpensive pay-in transaction and then managing fund availability throughout the month. No charge will be made for the first or single pay-out transaction. Subsequent pay-out transactions (per pay-in transaction) will be charged at the rate of PHP 45.00.

All transactions involving utility companies, billers and SSS are processed for free.

Transaction Fee

Pay-in, single Flat – USD 2.00 to USD 10.00 - depending on location/FX rate
First pay-out None
Subsequent pay-out PHP 45.00

Example:

Payday

Ms. De la Cruz pays in USD 750.00 which attracts a remittance fee of USD 8.00 in her country of residence. Throughout the month, she then continues to send her beneficiary cash as well as paying bills and shopping online.

Sample FX rate USD 1.00 = PHP 45.00
Remittance fee USD 8.00 (average)
Amount after fee USD 750.00 minus USD 8.00 = USD 742.00
Amount in PHP credited to account USD 742.00 x 45.00 = PHP 33,390.00

Day Transaction Details Amount Fee Net transfer Balance

What is an eWallet?

An eWallet, or an electronic wallet, is software that resides on a computer or corporate server and holds digital cash which is digitally certified. Stored information may include additional details such as pay-out instructions, billers' account numbers SSS numbers and payment information for online transactions.

How many beneficiaries may I register and send funds to?

You may register as many beneficiaries as you wish. It should be noted, however, that Cashsense will deliver a free VISA ATM card only to the beneficiary that you first register (only applicable to non-Philippine-based remitters).

Additional cards will be supplied at cost:

First Card/Beneficiary Free
Second and subsequent beneficiary PHP 150.00 includes delivery by courier

It should also be noted that if your eWallet contains insufficient funds to cover the cost of additional or replacement cards ordered, you will receive an "Insufficient Funds" message when you confirm acceptance of pay-out by ATM. You will need to fund 'My Account' accordingly.

Can my beneficiary use the Cashsense VISA ATM card to make purchases in stores or online?

Yes. The Cashsense VISA ATM card may be used in any outlet that accepts VISA card. There will have to be, of course, a positive balance on the card.

Cashsense VISA ATM cards may also be used to purchase goods and services from merchants online – known as a "customer not present" transaction. Online purchases require the CSV (card security value) number to be provided. This is a three digit number that can be found on the back of the card next to the signature box.

Can cash be withdrawn from ATM's outside of the Philippines?

Cash may be withdrawn from any ATM displaying the PLUS network logo. Currently, there are one million PLUS-linked ATMs in 170 countries worldwide.

Many OFWs actually order VISA ATM cards for themselves which they use;

  • when they return to the Philippines for vacation, etc.
  • If they want to use their VISA ATM card abroad

It should be noted that cash will be dispensed in the currency of the country of withdrawal and the exchange rate and any associated fee will depend on the bank offering the ATM service. The balance of your card will always be denominated in Philippine Pesos. Whichever exchange rate to Philippine Pesos is in force on the day of use will be the amount - in Philippine Peso - deducted from the card balance.

How do I obtain my own ATM card?

Senders may order their own ATM card which may be used for:

  • Withdrawal of cash from ATMs in their country of residence.
  • For use in the Philippines when returning on vacation.

Cashsense does not currently have card distribution centers set up worldwide and cards will have to be forwarded, by courier, at cost. Please contact customer support for details.

What happens in the event of card capture, loss, damage, etc.?

In the event of Cashsense VISA ATM card problems, either the beneficiary or sender should contact Cashsense customer support immediately. Our experienced in-house customer service team will help resolve all security and replacement issues speedily and satisfactorily.

Can I remit bank to bank, door to door or pick up?

Yes.

For beneficiaries wishing to receive funds by bank to bank, it should be noted that it is only possible to register bank details for a single bank. If you need to change or edit registered details of your Philippine receiving bank, please contact Customer Support.

Can I transfer funds to my own bank account in the Philippines?

Yes. You will need to add yourself as a beneficiary 'Add/Edit Beneficiary' and provide your own bank details accordingly. When you wish to send funds to this account, simply select yourself as the beneficiary.

In which countries are Cashsense remittance services available?

Cashsense remittance services are currently available in many countries. Online remittance services will continue to be rolled out in most countries where significant numbers of OFWs are employed situated. Please check our remittance calculator at http://remit.cashsense.com/ for the full list of countries currently serviced.

It should be noted that Cashsense is a Filipino company and currently only processes transactions bound for the Philippines. Customers in both UK and Italy, for example, can send money home but Cashsense is unable to process remittance between UK and Italy.

How safe is my remittance?

All automated remittance transactions are fully encrypted and secured by following industry-standard practices.

Only segregated customer accounts are used for customer's monies – a prerequisite for licensing in most jurisdictions. Cashsense is registered and duly authorized by Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) to carry out remittance services, and is registered and authorized to carry out money transfer businesses in Hong Kong and the UK. In other countries of operation, Cashsense's collection partner Earthport PLC is duly registered to carry out appropriate business lines, and Cashsense strictly observes the processes and procedures related to jurisdictional compliance.

I live in the Philippines; may I register to use Cashsense facilities?

The eWallet facility was, initially, made available to Cashsense's OFW remittance customers who, as well as managing the family finances, may also wish to shop online. However, anyone in the Philippines can now avail of domestic-based eWallet facilities by registering for PhilPay at: http://philpay.cashsense.com/. Please see landing page and FAQ's for further details.

Refer & Earn FAQs

How do I participate in Refer & Earn?
I live in the Philippines, can I still participate in Refer and Earn?
How much could I earn?
How can I check my earnings?
Do I need to contact my friends and referrals?
How can I withdraw my earnings?
Who can I refer?

How do I participate in Refer & Earn?

It's easy. Just visit the Refer & Earn page (you need to be registered as a remitter), click on and provide us a few details of your referrals which will then be added to your network and tagged to yourself.

I live in the Philippines, can I still participate in Refer and Earn?

Absolutely. If you know Filipinos abroad or have ways to reach out to them, then please join the growing band of home-based Filipinos who already benefit from Cashsense's referral program.

Visit Refer & Earn page (you need to be registered with Cashsense PhilPay) and follow the instructions for providing Cashsense details of your OFW contacts. All commissions will be automatically credited to your PhilPay eWallet.

How much could I earn?

It depends on the size of your network. There are 8 million OFWs and Cashsense does not limit how much referral income you can generate. Because you will be earning cash at three levels – your direct referrals, their referrals and their referrals again – you can build a highly rewarding network within a relatively short period of time. Of course, if you refer members of your community, your church for example, then your network will build even faster.

How can I check my earnings?

Referrals will be tagged to you (assuming no one else has previously referred them) and each transaction that they make will be identified and credited to you. Your transaction history in My Account will accurately reflect how much you have earned.

Do I need to contact my friends and referrals?

Not necessarily. It might be helpful if you were to drop a note to your referrals but Cashsense will, in any case, send them a starter pack.

How can I withdraw my earnings?

Funds earned will be credited to your eWallet which can then be paid out in the Philippines or transferred to your own ATM card for withdrawal abroad.

Who can I refer?

You can refer anyone you know in countries where Cashsense remittance services are available. Please note that we are continually expanding into additional territories and so non-serviced country referrals will be recorded, contacted by Cashsense and tagged to you when appropriate.
